The Chicago Blackhawks are a professional ice hockey team part of the NHL. They are based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1926 originally as the Chicago Black Hawks, they changed to the Chicago Blackhawks in 1986. Their original home arena was the Chicago Stadium, which they had played in for over 60 years, but in 1994 they had moved to the United Center. They have won the Stanley Cup three times, the Conference Championship once and the Division Championships 13 times.

Their official logo is a portrait shot of the face of a native Indian. Their alternate logo is a yellow ‘C’ with intersecting hammers over it. The hammer heads have a black ‘X‘ in them. The teams official colors are tomato red, black and white. The official mascot for the Chicago Blackhawks is a hawk called Tommy Hawk.
