The Pittsburgh Penguins are the official team of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are part of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference of the NHL. The club was founded in 1967 as part of the NHL expansion program to double the amount of teams. Since its induction the Penguins have won two Stanley Cups, in 1991 and 1992.
